The project is a scaling up of the bottled water distribution systems. The project was targeted to benefit the squatter communities of Koteshwor, ward 35 of KMC which has been identified as the urban poor community by the study conducted by UN-Habitat in 2007. The project served 400 households of Palpakot, Koteshwor. The project was implemented as the demonstration project in coordination with Low Income Consumer Support Unit (LICSU) of KUKL to address water hardship of low income consumer groups.
